In a Nutshell
I am a Canadian-born, USA-grown, and UK-residing anthropological artist and writer.
Originally trained in Russian and Italian Atelier techniques of painting and drawing, I developed and personalized a style of Expressive Realism that bridges the worlds of realism and the abstraction of emotion.
By which, of course, I'm not limited to.
All my work is based on extensive research into culture, psychology, history, and literature, culminating into projects that paint a multitude of stories that go overlooked.

Hauntings: An Oracle Deck 2023 - Current
See Us is a series of paintings based on the interviews and intimate objects brought in by New College of Florida students living with invisible chronic illnesses.
Starting from recognizing the current environment in art regarding chronic illness, as well as its history, I investigate my approach to these pieces, including how the interviews were used to capture the individual stories of those who suffer with these illnesses today.
I hoped that by converting the stories I collected into paintings, they help the viewer recognize the impacts of invisible chronic illness.
This year focused on professionally developing my teaching skills. Previously, I had informally taught classes for adults, but during this year I focused on my skills on behalf of young artists, particularly those who didn't have regular access to these types of educational opportunities.
Feb - May 2023: Assistant Teacher for Bayshore Highschool in Sarasotal. Focus of this class involved fundamentals of portrait painting.
2024: Taught an afterschool art program in Brownstation Elementary. Created a program called Love The Skin You're In which focused not only on connecting to each other but learning difficult basics like mixing paint into specific skintones.
Summer of 2024: Camp counsellor for Sports Meets the Arts, which enhanced interdisciplinary skills.
My current project, featuring all my favorite aspects of art, psychology, and culture together in one place. This project features 60 individual works that will come together as an oracle deck in order to connect with people far and wide.
